Visitors at home in the days before the funeral

In the days before the funeral, family, neighbours and friends come by every evening to offer their condolences.
There need to be chairs, coffee, drinks and something to eat, and afterwards everything needs to be cleaned up.
We can take this off your hands, so you can be with your visitors.
Traditions differ from family to family, church to church and neighbourhood to neighbourhood. So we prefer to write “in many families it goes like this” rather than “this is how it should be”.
