Ocho dia: the eight days after the funeral

After the funeral, family and friends gather for eight days to pray for the deceased. The eighth day is the closing gathering.
In many families the ocho dia is the moment when everyone comes together one more time, with food, prayer and singing.
Here too we can help with chairs, catering, service and singing.
Traditions differ from family to family, church to church and neighbourhood to neighbourhood. So we prefer to write “in many families it goes like this” rather than “this is how it should be”.
